The Michigan Infectious Disease Society evolved out of a meeting of I.D. specialists from the three Michigan Medical Schools during the early 1970’s. In 1985 a group of clinical and teaching I.D. physicians met and agreed to begin a formal organization structured after the parent Infectious Disease Society of America.
MIDS holds three meetings per year; the annual business and scientific session in March, a social gathering during the annual IDSA meeting, and a joint scientific forum with the Michigan Department of Community Health in October. There are approximately 100 regular members representing the clinical and scientific community, and I.D. physicans in training throughout the state.
For more information about the Society, contact the Executive Director, Cathie L. Martin.

We work with many of the physician groups across the state from a financial planning perspective. I am interested in speaking with you about opportunities to get involved with your members. Please contact me to discuss 248-468-0484.
Thank you,
Eric Seger
